Well, had my first day of orientation at the Animation Workshop. They showed an award winning film by one student called Nine by Shane Acker. He won several awards including the student academy award and now Tim Burton is producing the film to be a feature directed by Acker. It was amazing. I also got scared thinking if I could ever create something of that caliber. Later in the day I learned that it took him five years to make that ten minute film and he would often bring the work in progress to the workshop for the instructors and students to critique. Now I'm not that freaked. I still don't know if I create something of that caliber, but if I spent five years maybe I could get close. : )
On a side note, according to JM's site the Sci Fi channel is finally looking to make a Dresden movie. While I hope James can get the part since he creates the character so well in the audio tapes, I find myself wondering will I watch the TV movie if he doesn't get the part. I'm thinking yes because I loved the story long before I heard James on the audio. However, I am curious what other people think. Let me know.
