ghostgirl13 "You're a dork." So yesterday I wanted to get back to walking, with trips and school it's been awhile since I've had a good walk. I live in the Valley now which equals hellish heat. I had hoped to wake up early yesterday and get the walk done before noon. That didn't happen so I waited until 1:30pm to go. I would have waited longer but there was some cloud cover so I figured it wouldn't be that bad. And it wasn't, until the clouds went away. This is where I made a stupid mistake. Instead of listening to my body and going back the way I came which had more shade then the way ahead of me, I continued forward determined to not let the valley heat get me. I mean a lot of people were out running in that heat, although they are probably native to the Valley, I'm still a newbie. Needless to say I survived the walk but didn't survive the cool down process back at my apartment. Pretty much the rest of the day was spent with me passed out on my couch with a fan blowing the AC on me trying to cool down. Angela 0 Valley 1. We'll see how the rematch goes.
