I can vote
Oct. 23rd, 2008 08:20 pmYay!!!!!! I got a postcard in the mail today saying I am registered to vote. Although I turned in my change of address early in October I was afraid of the USPS losing it in transit to the County Clerk. But all is well and I can vote. I just need to find my polling place and read the propositions. I know to vote a big NO on 8, but beyond that have no clue what's on the ballot. Although reading the props. never seems to help all that much at times. I've tried to read the actual legal language, but can never get through it, so if it's a prop. that's not clear about it's impact and both arguments pro and con can go either way I usually skip voting on it because I have no clue what it will actually do. They need to teach a class in translating legal speak to English so I can actually read the exact wording of the proposition. Yes I'm a bit non-trusting when it comes to believing what the pro and con camps say about a proposition. I like to know what the thing will actually do before casting a vote.
