She Wants Revenge Concert
Jun. 15th, 2006 07:55 pmWell silly me, I did absolutely nothing yesterday and I forgot to write a report about the concert that

millietheghoul, and I went to.
Even though I only know a couple songs by She Wants Revenge, when they asked if I wanted to go to the concert at The Wiltern I went okay. Hey I got to hang out with my friends and see an old theater I've never been to. The Wiltern has very cool architecture. I almost got left behind when we enter the theater because I was busy checking out the interior. I love art deco design.
We ended up in the front row of the balcony which is a very interesting place to be at the Wiltern I discovered. The concert itself was great. The opening act wasn't too good, but I have definitely heard worse. I have no clue what their name was though. She Wants Revenge was great. They did have some sound level issues where you couldn't hear the singer. I wish I was more familiar with their music, I'm thinking a CD purchase is in my future. They had fantastic lighting design when they weren't blinding you with bright white lights aimed straight at you. Made me wish the Wiltern allowed professional cameras so I could have taken some pics. (Speaking of cameras.....I just bought the Canon 30D....it's so much better then my Rebel 300D. Does anyone want to buy a used digital camera, the Rebel is a good beginner camera?.... Back to the report.)
Now the balcony at the WIltern is very interesting. I don't know if it's because it's so old or because so many people were standing and dancing on it. Whatever the reason, it bounces like crazy. During one upbeat song, we were practically bouncing out of our seats. Once the scary factor of wondering if the balcony was going to collapse passed, it was a very fun ride. After the concert we ate at Denny's. Normally we eat at Mel's, but since we were no where near Sunset, we settle for Denny's. Overall, a very fun night.
