Drawing

I haven't drawn anything for about three years. After I graduated school and couldn't find work in animation, along with other issues, I lost my passion for drawing. I just started taking some graphic design classes and last weekend I found that passion again. I was watching my Season two DVD of Buffy. I loved School Hard since that episode introduced Spike and Dru, my favorite characters. So, after capturing the scene I did this sketch. I think I might turn it into a charcoal. If anyone sees this please let me know what you think. Am I even close or way off. Like I said, this is just a first sketch, and I'd appreciate any constructive criticism. Thanks,

wow, that's pretty cool! It's a *lot* better than what I'd be able to do. I'm glad you've rekindled your passion for drawing.

You know, your sketch has reminded me that Season 2 Spike did look different than the Spike we saw in later seasons.

Hmm, with Dru, I think her cheekbone structure was a bit slimmer and Spike's eyes have a more gentle/noble gleam rather than the more predator-type of look he sported in Season 2. Then again, I'm not very good with critiquing artwork, but I'd say that's an excellent first attempt.

Thanks for the critique. I knew Spike looked a little too friendly, but I couldn't figure out why. You're right, it's in the eyes. Cool. Thanks for the help.

I loved this picture that you did. Dru and Spike are my two favs to.Keep up your drawings they really are good.

Thanks for compliment. I'm currently working on the final version of the drawing. I'll post it when I'm done.
